Nollywood has been rocked by sadness due to the premature death of seasoned actor Don Brymo Uchegbu.
The actor passed away on Wednesday night, apparently due to a partial stroke and high blood sugar.
On the fatal night of June 14, 2023, he calmly passed away while sleeping.
Don Brymo, known for playing the part of Igwe (King) in films, was taken urgently to an unidentified hospital, where it was determined that he was in good health.
Mayor Ofoegbu, a well-known Nollywood film director and a close friend of the late actor, verified the tragic news.
Mr. Ofoegbu wrote about the unexpected loss on his Facebook page on June 15, 2023, expressing his sorrow and despair.
He wrote, “Plan for tomorrow but live for today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. I wrote those lines on my WhatsApp status yesterday evening. My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu, passed in his sleep. I received the shocking news this morning and had to verify from his family. Chai! Don Brymo, my manchi. It’s hard to say goodbye. Nnukwu nwa na Enugu ukwu.”
Don Brymo, born in Anambra State in 1966, began working in the movie business in 2000. His portfolio includes well-known films like “Wedding in Nigeria,” “Ritual of Vengeance,” “Anger of a Wonder Girl,” and “Ikemba,” among others.
Colleagues and admirers of Don Brymo are lamenting the loss of a talented actor due to his exit from the Nollywood industry.
