Nigerian superstar Asake has matched the No. 1 record on the Nigerian Radio chart, continuing his triumphant run from an exceptional debut year in 2022 with chart-topping singles and a record-breaking debut album.
In the most recent TurnTable Radio chart, Asake’s hit single ‘Lonely At The Top’ from his album ‘Work of Art’ has matched the number 1 record held by Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ featuring Ed Sheeran.
During the week of September 15th to September 21st, 2023, ‘Lonely At The Top’ achieved its 10th week at the top spot, matching Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ remix’s record set in 2021
‘Lonely At The Top’ has become the standout fan-favorite single from Asake’s thriving sophomore album. This track is poised to establish a new No. 1 record on TurnTable Top 100, Nigeria’s comprehensive chart that blends radio, streaming (both premium and freemium), and TV data.
Impressively, the smash hit has held the top spot for 11 consecutive weeks, matching the record jointly held with Omah Lay’s ‘Godly.’ If it maintains its position, it’s on track to break the record in the upcoming week.
