Naira Marley has announced the signing of a new musician to his Marlian Records label.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Naira Marley’s Marlian movement would become immensely famous after conquering the Afrobeats mainstream in 2019, as it connected with young Nigerians nationwide.
Naira Marley’s record company has announced the recruitment of fresh talent. On June 6, 2023, he revealed this on his social media channels.
The signee’s name is Vusic, and he can be seen singing along to what seems to be his first track in a video shared by Naira Marley.

Vusic would be joining Naira Marley and Street-Pop phenomenon Zinoleesky on the Marlian Records roster, with the company intending to recreate the success of its previous performers with him.

Vusic’s signing follows the departure of Mohbad from Marlian Music. Mohbad fell out with the record company after accusing Marlian Music and Naira Marley of assault. He also accused the label of failing to pay him royalties since his signing, despite generating several significant successes.
Naira Marley refuted Mohbad’s accusation, and he seems to have put the situation behind him, seeking to continue to exercise his influence on the Nigerian street music industry by signing a new singer.
