Opeyemi Falegan, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing, has disclosed the reasons behind their marriage.
A few days ago, the couple’s marriage ended.
Falegan said in a series of videos posted on his Instagram page on Friday, April 8, 2022, that the actress chose to marry him for money and sex.
“I know you want some things to be clarified and it’s high time I get it clarified. She came into my life for two things – money and sex,” he said.
“You all know I have a foundation that takes care of the widows, less privileged and all that which I started when I lost my father. I think that is part of the reason she came into my life, she knew I was a philanthropist and I do give to a lot of people within my capacity. This woman nearly drained me.”
He revealed this during a conversation with Nollywood star Uche Maduagwu.
Falegan’s remarks come only hours after the actress disclosed why she decided to quit her relationship with him.
According to Nkechi, her former husband sought to take advantage of her celebrity for his own gain.
She stated that he became well-known for constantly pleading for money to finance his organisation, which irritated the actress.
