One of the most popular Afrobeats exports is Rema’s “Calm Down,” which has taken the world by storm. With a new record peak on the Billboard Top 100, the track has no plans to slow down in its ascent throughout the globe.

Rema’s “Calm Down” feat. Selena Gomez climbs one spot from its previous top position of No. 8 to achieve a new peak of No. 7 on the most recent Billboard Chart, which is dated April 15, 2023.

As a result, Wizkid’s song “Essence” featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, which peaked at number nine, is closely followed in the record book as the highest-charting African song.

The song, which was one of the main singles for Rema’s debut album “Raves & Roses” when it was released in February 2022, went on to have enormous popularity internationally and to top numerous charts in Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

‘Calm Down’ was been given a double diamond by SNEP, the French certifying organization. Also, it has been awarded certification plaques in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and a number of other nations, including the US, where it was awarded an RIAA platinum plaque.
