Domitilla, the remake of Zeb Ejiro’s 1990s favorite, debuted to positive reviews at the box office.
Domitilla: The Reboot is the first Nollywood movie to accomplish this distinction this year, with its opening weekend box office takings exceeding 10 million.
Fans of the original Nollywood classic are taken inside the perilous world of Nigerian sex workers in the retelling, which was premiered in theaters on April 7, 2023. Everything is possible in this world.
The plot centers on the decisions made by the four major female characters—Ekwutosi, Fisayo, Promise, and Madam Vee—as well as the consequences of those decisions.
Zeb Ejiro, the man behind the 1996 hit song, directed it. The remake or reboot of a classic is being handled by its original author for the first time in Nollywood.
The producers of this remake were Kayode Kasum’s FilmTrybe, FilmOne Entertainment, and Ejiro’s Zeb Productions. The original plot was told in the original film, which was released 27 years ago.
Teniola Aladese and Uzoamaka are featured in Domitilla: The Reboot. Doris Aniunoh, Elvina Ibru, Chiwetalu Agu, Deyemi Okanlawon, Stan Nze, Ejiro Onojaife, and Onyinye Odokoro are among the individuals mentioned.
