IPOB Declares Another Sit-at-home

IPOB, the Indigenous People of Biafra, has called for another sit-at-home protest in the South East on September 14.

Residents were urged to boycott economic and social activities on that day, according to the group.

Directorate of Service Head Mazi Chika Edoziem, verified this in a statement saying the sit-at-home order, is a monument to the claimed “massacre carried out by the military men three years ago in the region, particularly in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State.”

Recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has designated September 14 as a day of civil disobedience in Biafraland every year since 2018.

“In Biafraland, September 14, 2021, is proclaimed a sit-at-home in accordance with a long-standing tradition.”
