Chikwe Ihekweazu, the former Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has been named the World Health Organization’s assistant director-general of Health Emergency Intelligence.
This was revealed in a letter written by Tedros Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, on Tuesday. Mr. Ihekweazu will take office from November 1st.
