After 10 weeks of an undeniably entertaining program featuring contestants Whitemoney, Liquorose, Angel, Cross, and Pere, the long-awaited season finale has arrived. Made Kuti opened the finale show with a pack-punching performance from the Lekki fan park. Surprisingly, the center was packed with people, a first since the pandemic. Following Kuti’s amazing performance, Big Brother delivered an emotional address to the finalists before getting right down to work.
Emmanuel, the season’s veto power holder and a member of the Emmarose ship, was the first finalist to be eliminated.
Angel was evicted shortly after. The 21-year-old, who won fans over with her free-spirited personality, was the show’s second contestant to be eliminated.
Following an electrifying performance by ex-BBN housemate Avala, Ebuka announced the eviction of another fan-favorite housemate Cross, leaving the season’s top three as Whitemoney, Liquorose, and Pere.
The season’s second runner-up was, naturally, Pere, the General himself and the monarch of the Patriots. The 36-year-old had a fascinating run on the program, beginning as a wild card and ending with a position in the finals that was nearly lost to Angel.
And now, the moment that fans had been waiting for all night. With the top candidates finally going head to head, the season finale was a far cry from the previous season, when the winner, Laycon, was known weeks in advance.
In terms of the previous season, Laycon’s performance came before Lojay, Ajebo Hustlers, and the night’s greatest revelation, which confirmed Whitemoney as the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season winner.
Whitemoney won the season by a landslide, with 47 percent of the vote from viewers. With 22.99 percent of the vote, Liquorose came in second.
The winning roommate receives N90 million in rewards, including N30 million in cash, an apartment, a brand new automobile, and other items.
