Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, claims that roughly 1,000 corps members have been denied the opportunity to relocate to another state.
He told journalists at the inauguration ceremony of the 2020 inspectors’ development programme in Abuja that most corps members tried to influence the scheme’s employees to get their relocation done, which was against the scheme’s ethics, according to DailyTrust.
He stated that the migration was free and permissible, despite the fact that it had to be for health, marital, or security reasons.
Over 1,000 corps members attempted to deceive the staff in order to complete their relocations, but when this was proven to be false, they were canceled and withdrawn, according to Ibrahim.
The program, he claimed, was designed to help inspectors and field officers become more effective in their jobs.
