Julia Garner, Ozark star, is set to play Madonna in a big-screen biopic.
It was reported back in march that the two-time Emmy Award winner was in the running for the highly-coveted role, alongside Florence Pugh (Dune:Part Two), Alex Demie (Euphoria), Odesssa Young (The Stand) and Emma Laird (Mayor of Kingstown), plus singers Sky Ferreira and Bebe Rexha.
The movie will be directed by the Material Girl herself, Variety reports that Garner has now been offered the part officially and is expected to accept the role.
“The focus of this film will always be music. Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the rollercoaster ride of my life with my voice and vision.” Madonna revealed while addressing the project.
