Hilda Baci was named the new record holder for longest cooking time by one individual by Guinness World Records on Tuesday.
The GWR, in a statement on its website, said, “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
The Nigerian chef started her four-day kitchen stint on Thursday, May 11, and ended on Monday, May 15, making almost 100 pots of meals.
Hilda tried to achieve a record of 100 hours, but almost seven hours were removed from her final total due to an error in one of her rest breaks early in the endeavor.
