Blessing Effiom Egbe is set to return with Lekki Wives: The Reunion.
The director shared a brief teaser on Twitter with the news that the movie would be released in May 2023.
The program, which Egbe created in 2012, centers on five ladies living in Lekki, Lagos, their extravagant lives, and the substantial daily problems they encounter.
The Egbe-created program received acclaim at its debut and developed a devoted fan base.
With a stellar ensemble that includes Rita Dominic and Joselyn Dumas, who portray Aisha, the popular 2013–2015 series is returning.
The play’s cast includes Katherine Obiang as Uju, Adaora Ukoh as Miranda, Chinonso Young as Cleopatra, Kiki Omeili as Loveth, and Keira Hewatch as Peace.
The much-anticipated production has Egbe, Cobham Asuquo, and Rebecca Ibiang on board as executive producers.
The show’s creator originally announced the reunion in July 2022, just in time for the show’s tenth anniversary.
She teased fans with a poster for the sequel titled Lekki Wives Reunion via an Instagram post. The filmmaker wrote, “Lekki Wives The Reunion is coming.”
Wives of Lekki: The Reunion is set to return later this year. There is no set release date as of yet.
