Mercy Chinwo, a Nigerian gospel singer, has won yet another accolade.

Gospel music is a growing segment of the Nigerian music business, with a number of celebrity artists catering to the spiritual demands of millions of fans.
Mercy Chinwo is one of Africa’s most popular gospel singers, and her music has spread far beyond the continent.
The gospel singer was recently honored at the UK Premier Gospel Awards, which took place on June 9, 2023, to commemorate her remarkable career.
She was named Best International Gospel Act for her accomplishments as a major voice on the continent.
Mercy Chinwo celebrated the prize with the caption on her Instagram page.
“GOD IS GOOD. Thanks for the honour @premiergospel. To everyone of you who voted, thank you God bless you all.”
Other winners on the night were Limoblaze, Annatoria, Triple O, Guvna B, The Spirituals, Manor Collective, and Tofunmi Adorna, among others.
Arsenal Football Club Bukayo Saka, a Nigerian-British footballer, was honored with rapper Stormzy, Kanya King, and Yolanda Brown for his services to the gospel.
Belfast Community Gospel Choir, Annatoria (The Voice UK), Travis Green (USA), Israel Houghton (USA), Guvna B, Chevelle Franklin (Jamaica), ZimPraise (Zimbabwe), Mahalia Buchanan (South Africa), and Dunsin Oyekan (Nigeria) all performed live.
