The artist and Rihanna had their first kid earlier this month, and he’s now been cited in an interview stating why he’s more like a cool dad than a regular parent.

A$AP Rocky has opened up about his attitude to parenting, saying that he and girlfriend Rihanna want to be “cool parents,” not “normal parents.”
The 33-year-old rapper, whose true name is Rakim Mayers, gave birth to a boy with Rihanna, 34, earlier this month.
It’s the couple’s first kid, and with claims that they threw a rave as a baby shower, it’s not surprising that they want to be viewed as ‘cool’ parents.
A$AP channelled his inner Mean Girls’ June George to explain why he believes his baby would be able to look up to him and Rihanna in awe.
He told the magazine Dazed and Confused about it,
“I will always remind my children to never lose their imagination, even as adults, no matter what.
“I actually love to watch cartoons – I’ve watched like, Teletubbies, Blue’s Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig and Baby Shark.
“I hope to raise open-minded children. Not people who discriminate. And I’m not trying to describe a saint, but realistically, I just want a cool child with cool parents.”
He continued by saying that he and Rihanna intend to raise their boy to be as outgoing as possible.
A$AP Ferg and Rihanna welcomed their kid earlier this month, with TMZ saying that “sources with direct knowledge tell us he was born on May 13 in Los Angeles.”
The couple has yet to divulge the name of their child, while some sources claim they intend to raise him in Barbados.
“Rihanna loves Barbados and she enjoyed growing up there,” a source told the Sunday Mirror a week after the kid arrived.
“She wants to give her baby the same experience she had – away from the world of showbusiness.
“Both her and ASAP’s family are in Barbados, so the couple are planning to move there in a few months’ time.”
It is also believed that she has already picked which school the child would attend when he is old enough.
Rihanna was born and bred on the Caribbean island, A$AP has ancestors from the island, and his connection with the singer has allowed him to reconnect with his roots.
