The YBNL Records signing of Nigerian pop star Adekunle Gold was aided by music producer and performer Pheelz, according to Adekunle Gold.

Adekunle Gold said during a break in his performance at his O2 Brixton concert in London on Saturday, September 8, 2022, that Pheelz, a former label mate, was responsible for getting him signed to YBNL.
Adekunle Gold addressed a gathering of fans, “Pheelz (Mr. Finesse) got me signed to YBNL,”
The musician continued by thanking YBNL leader and megastar Olamide for giving him the chance.
“I want to give a special shout-out to Olamide Baddo. Without Olamide, you guys won’t know me,” he said.
Adekunle Gold enthralled the crowd with a number of songs from his 2022 album “Catch Me If You Can” as well as some of his timeless oldies at the sold-out performance.
Simi and Davido were part of the show and entertained the crowd with their popular tunes.
