The revelation that beloved onscreen twins Aki and Pawpaw will return for their big screen debut in the Play Network Studios and FilmOne Entertainment remake of the 2002 hit ‘Aki Na Ukwa’ is no longer suprising.
The production companies, on the other hand, have released a first-look trailer for the comedy, which is planned to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
The remake, directed by Biodun Stephen and starring Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki) and Osita Iheme (Pawpaw), follows the mischievous brothers as they strive to establish a life for themselves after accidentally becoming famous and wealthy thanks to social media.
Toyin Abraham, Funny Bone, Lasisi Elenu, Beverly Osu, Amaechi Muonagor (returning as the twins’ father), Juliet Ibrahim, Uti, Real Warri Pikin, Hanks Anuku, Charles Inojie, and others all star in ‘Aki and Pawpaw.’
Chris Odeh, Mimi Bartels, and Agozie Agwu produced the new remake, which was written by Steph Boyo and Ozoioma Ogbaji.
