The 2023 Oscar nominee list has been made public, and international superstar Tems from Nigeria has made history by being the first Nigerian artist to receive a nomination.

Tems received a nomination for her work as a songwriter on the soundtrack for Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” namely for the song “Lift Me Up.”
The 2023 Oscar voting period will occur from March 2 until March 7. Jimmy Kimmel, a comedian, and talk show host will preside over the 2023 Oscar ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 12 at the Dolby Theater.
