Momoa hasn’t portrayed a villain in a long time.

The Fast & Furious franchise appears to be exchanging one huge star for another. Aquaman star Jason Momoa has been confirmed to be joining the franchise and will have a more sinister role in Fast 10’s next installment. Fans are learning more about Momoa’s ruthless demeanour.
Momoa was spotted on the red carpet for the premiere of his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz’s forthcoming flick The Batman. Momoa confirmed his involvement in Fast 10 when speaking with Entertainment Tonight about his forthcoming projects, saying, “It’s great, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do in a while.” Now it’s my turn to be the evil guy. A naughty lad with a lot of flamboyance. “A little swagger!” The actor has earned a reputation for himself portraying more heroic, protagonist-centered parts like Aquaman, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, and Game of Thrones, so his turn to crime is widely anticipated.
Fast and Furious 10, a working title that is anticipated to change, is speculated to be the franchise’s final instalment. The final movie, like many famous film series, will be broken into two parts to present a lengthier, more thorough storey that will bring the franchise to a satisfactory conclusion. Many actors, including Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Charlize Theron, are anticipated to return. Dwayne Johnson, the franchise’s headliner, and John Cena, who starred in F9, have announced that they will not return for the last chapter. Jordana Brewster is not expected to return.
Justin Lin will return to helm the film, which is set to begin production this spring. Lin has directed the fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth chapters of the Fast & Furious franchise, as well as the standalone sequel The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Chris Morgan, who previously wrote the script for the last chapters, comes back to pen the final chapters. Diesel has also been proven to produce.
Momoa’s most recent completely evil performance was alongside Bruce Willis in 2017’s Once Upon a Time in Venice. The film got mixed reviews, with critics praising Willis’ portrayal. Momoa’s decision to ditch his heroic suit in favour of something more sinister is an intriguing one, and one that will be well appreciated. Fast & Furious 10 is set to be released in theatres on May 19, 2023, giving the company plenty of time to tease the much-anticipated character. Until then, you may see Momoa as the King of the Seas in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which will be released on December 16, 2022.
