The fourth edition of Don Jazzy Radio, a monthly radio program hosted by the famed Nigerian Afrobeats producer, musician, and label owner, has been made available on Apple Music 1.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Don Jazzy talks about Afrobeats in the most recent episode and the many genre-defying artists and subgenres also native to Africa.
“Yes, we all love Afrobeats; the vibes, dancing, and having a good time, but for me, I have always been a fan of other sub-genres coming out of Africa. Johnny Drille is one of the amazing artists that make these masterpieces and it was a pleasure having him on the show,” Don Jazzy tells Apple Music.
The Mavin’s boss with his co-host DJ Big N interviewed Nigerian R&B artist Johnny Drille, who has released a new EP titled “Home” with the lead tune “How Are You (My Friend)”.
Additionally, the presenter performed songs by Romi, Lasmid, CKay, and Johnny Drille with Adekunle Gold and The Cavemen.
The Don himself will curate the best of what’s new, what’s next, and the heyday of Afrobeats for Don Jazzy Radio, which listeners can enjoy through his regular features called Quick Bites, The Don’s Blessing, and Pick of The Week, as well as his exclusive guest interviews and fan-centered experiences.
