Chike Releases His 2nd Album ‘The Brother’s Keeper’
Chike has released his sophomore album, “The Brother’s Keeper,” almost three years after his ground-breaking first, “Boo of the Booless.”
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Chike reflects on his trip thus far on his new album, basks and cruises in the present, but is weary of an unknown future.
Concerning the album’s subject, Chike cited examples of fellow singers Simi and Mayorkun assisting him early in his career.
He believes that the CD will inspire listeners to aspire to be kind to one another and to contribute to society’s happiness via our own efforts.
Chike’s amazing ability, which he employs to generate different sounds that span through subject matter, language, demographics, and boundaries, is showcased on the 16-track album.
Major A&Rs and outstanding producers, like Ogaga Sakpaide and producers DeeYasso, Tee-Y Mix, Killertunes, Echo the Guru, Louddaaa, and Sagzy, contributed to making the album.
