Timaya, a Nigerian music sensation, was arrested hours after he was accused of almost murdering a young lady.
On March 2, 2022, an Instagram user named Osinubi Omowumi, who claimed to be the victim’s sister, accused the music singer of driving his car into her sister after she confronted him for causing damage to her car.
In the most recent development, officers from the Nigeria Police Force invaded the pop star’s home on Thursday morning.
The musician was spotted telling cops what happened during the alleged hit-and-run incident.
He was hauled away by armed police officers a few minutes later.
Omowumi accused the musician of inflicting serious injury on her sister.
“She is in the hospital now in serious pain and the funniest part is me messaging him to do the needful but this wicked fellow blocked me after reading my messages,” part of her post read.
She also said he blocked her on Instagram when she tried to contact him.
