Buhari Promises Over Six Billion to Kastina Ranch Development
President Muhammadu Buhari has allocated N6.5 billion to begin the construction of a cattle ranch in Katsina State.
The state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, announced this on Thursday, July 15 during a ceremony in Dutsima when President Buhari commissioned the multibillion-naira Zobe water project and a 50-kilometer road project.
Masari had previously stated that his administration planned to generate N12 billion with the help of the Federal Ministries of Agriculture and Finance to transform the dangerous Rugu forest into pastures.
“Mr President has graciously approved the sum of N6.25 billion for ranch development purposes in Katsina state, out of which amount, N5 billion is already in the account of the state government, and within few weeks, you will see advertisement calling for interested companies and consultants who would like to participate,” Masari said during the kick-off of the ranching project on Thursday.
