South African Singer Nandi Madida Takes Over As Host Of Apple Music Africa Now Radio 

Nandi Madida, a South African actress and singer, has joined Apple Music as the new presenter of Africa Now Radio on Apple Music 1.

Africa Now Radio, Apple Music’s first global African music radio show, is in its fourth season and has featured exclusive interviews with Africa’s biggest stars, including Davido, Stonebwoy, Diamond Platnumz, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Nasty C, Rema, Ayra Starr, Asake, Omah Lay, and many more of the continent’s boldest and brightest musical and production talent.

Africa Now Radio has featured over 130 cover stars, premiered over 650 new albums, and introduced over 130 of Africa’s greatest new musicians, including Gyakie, CKay, Lloyiso, Uncle Waffles, and Pabi Cooper.

Africa Now Radio with Nandi Madida will continue to highlight the newest African music, whether it’s Amapiano, Afrobeats, highlife, Alte, house, hip-hop, bongo flava, or kuduro, based on Apple Music’s Africa Now playlist.

“What a time to be alive on this beautiful continent,” Nandi tells Apple Music. “I am just, if anything, grateful to witness Africa getting the long overdue credit. We are not only the cradle of humankind but also the cradle of music, and I’m excited to celebrate Pan-Africanism with Apple Music 1’s global audience and see the trajectory of African artists!”

The second season of Africa Now Radio with Nandi Madida begins on June 2 at 2 p.m. Lagos/London / 3 p.m. Johannesburg/Paris / 6 a.m. LA / 9 a.m. NYC and is aired on Cool FM in Nigeria every Sunday at 6 p.m.
