Stranger, Simi’s latest song, is about broken relationships, although the singer has not directly experienced them.

Simi, Nigeria’s outstanding singer-songwriter, has confessed that she has never been in a relationship that ended in heartache.
This was revealed by the singer, also known as Simisola Kosoko, during a recent interview with reality sensation Tacha on Cool FM in Lagos.
During the conversation, the singer said that her most recent song, Stranger, about heartbreak, was not influenced by her experiences.
She emphasized that she advocates for individuals who have experienced grief, expressing empathy for their plight.
Simi went on to say that she frequently thinks about love and is intrigued by the subject.
She recognized a viewpoint she hadn’t considered before being in a relationship where one has changed so much that they find themselves accepting or adjusting to things they wouldn’t ordinarily do.
She said, “I don’t think I have ever been heartbroken. I don’t know, that song, Stranger, came to me very easily. I guess, maybe I’m just a champion for people that have taken breakfasts severally. I’m here for them. I mean, somebody has to be.”
She described the sensation of gazing in the mirror and realizing one does not recognize oneself.
The singer thought this point of view would connect with many individuals now experiencing sorrow.
“You know, like you are in a relationship, they have not given you breakfast yet but you just feel like you’ve changed so much and you are doing things, accepting things or adapting to things that normally you would never would. And then one day, you look at yourself in the mirror, and you are like, I don’t know that person”, she expressed.
She wanted to portray that emotional experience in her song so that her fans could relate to her.
Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known as Simi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music producer.
Many admirers captivated by her emotionally charged songs throughout her career may be surprised by the singer’s forthright revelation about never having experienced heartbreak.
