Two of the eight domestic helpers David Adeleke, nicknamed Davido, of Nigeria, invited for interrogation about the passing of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi Adeleke, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
Ifeanyi’s chef and nanny are the two domestic helpers being held while the police start the autopsy process.
The chef and nanny, whose job was to care for the little boy’s welfare, have been held following extensive questioning, according to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson for Lagos State.
On Monday, October 31, 2022, Ifeanyi reportedly drowned in the swimming pool at the singer’s Banana Island home.
According to reports, the cook joined them while the babysitter was with the toddler. He was supposed to have been left with the chef when the nanny allegedly departed to take a phone call. The cook also claimed to have left the three-year-old with the nanny.
Twenty minutes later, a security guard discovered Ifeanyi’s body in the pool.
Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko, often known as Ned Nwoko, is a Nigerian politician and businessman who has stated that the murder of artist Davido’s baby still shocks him and his wife, Regina Daniels.
In his letter of sympathy to the Adeleke family, Nwoko expressed dismay at the news since he was aware of how tenderly Davido treated Ifeanyi and his future bride, Chioma.
The lawmaker also promised Ifeanyi’s parents of his support and that of his family during this trying time.
