Femi Falana (SAN), a renowned human rights lawyer, has made a commitment to unveil the facts surrounding the tragic passing of rapper, Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly recognised as MohBad.
Falana’s promise to investigate MohBad’s death came after a meeting with the grieving widow, Omowunmi Aloba, who is seeking justice for her deceased husband.
In a statement released on September 19, 2023, Falana offered his heartfelt condolences to the Aloba family and affirmed his resolute dedication to uncovering the details surrounding MohBad’s unfortunate death.
Recognising the significance of the case, Falana disclosed a vital meeting with Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, to discuss the ongoing investigation. He mentioned that the commissioner provided assurance regarding the progress of the investigation.
Falana expressed appreciation for Nigerian youths’ peaceful protests and their demand for justice, pledging to work alongside the coroner to uncover those accountable for MohBad’s suspicious demise.
The enigmatic passing of MohBad on September 12, 2023, has ignited a chorus of appeals for a thorough inquiry. People from various backgrounds in Nigeria have united in their calls for transparency and accountability in the management of this tragic incident.
