A video of Oluomo threatening non-APC voters to remain at home on election day if they did not vote for his favorite party went viral only days before the Lagos gubernatorial elections.

Charly Boy, also known as Charles Oputa, has criticized billionaire brothers Kcee and Emeka Okonkwo (popularly known as E-Money) for interacting with the controversial Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, Musiliu ‘MC Oluomo’ Akinsanya.
Kcee and E-Money recently welcomed MC Oluomo at their Lagos house, where they offered him drinks and money and complimented him as “a great and powerful man.”
On Thursday, Charly Boy turned to Twitter to voice his displeasure, claiming that the brothers should not have paid respect to MC Oluomo, whom he alleges intimidated and incited violence against Igbos in Lagos during the recent elections.
Sharing the video of the now-viral meeting with MC Oluomo, he wrote, “MC Oluomo intimated Igbos in Lagos. Even led a campaign that resulted in physical assault on Igbos. But according to E-money, MC is a great and powerful man. @MairoEnoch Can someone help me understand this video we just watched? Am confused.”

The legendary musician is not the only one who has criticized the Okonkwo brothers for their latest move. Oluomo, like Charly Boy, has faced criticism for his behavior during Nigeria’s just finished federal elections.
During the elections, a video of Oluomo threatening non-APC voters to remain at home on election day if they did not vote for his favorite party went viral, bolstering the tribalistic narrative that pervaded the internet at the time.
