Tems Wins Her First Grammy At The 2023 Grammy Awards (See Full List Of Winners) 

Tems, a global music phenomenon from Nigeria, earned her first Grammy at the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 5, 2023, for her contribution to Future’s popular song “Wait For U.” The song was the 2023 Grammy Award winner for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, is a Nigerian singer who won her first Grammy at the 2023 Grammy Awards gala ceremony. This triumph served as a significant turning point in Tems’ long musical career, solidifying her position as one of the most well-known African performers of the decade.

Tems earned her first Grammy at the 2023 Grammy Awards gala ceremony. The Grammy Award was the ideal acknowledgment of Tems’ skill and hard work. Her strong voice, compelling lyrics, and influential style have established her as a force to be reckoned with in the music world.

Burna Boy, who received nominations for “Best Global Music Album” and “Best Global Music Performance,” failed to win any awards in the meantime.

The first Nigerian (African) to win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist was Helen Folasade Adu, often known as Sade Adu or just Sade. She received this accolade in 1986.
