This comes only a week after President Muhammadu Buhari urged the Senate to confirm Ifeanyi-Onochie as NDDC Chairman.

The Senate has finally confirmed the appointment of Lauretta Ifeanyi-Onochie, the president’s Special Assistant on New Media as the substantive Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission Board (NNDC).
During its session on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, the Senate also approved the appointment of 12 further nominees.
This comes after President Muhammadu Buhari requested last week that the Senate approve Ifeanyi-nomination Onochie’s as the actual chairman of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission.
The president also listed 14 other people as Managing Directors, Executive Directors, and Board members in his letter to the Senate.
