The Duke of Duchess, His Royal Highness Prince Harry, and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, have been accepted to visit Nigeria in May 2024, and the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has expressed its honour and delight over this news.
They will interact with service members and participate in a variety of cultural events while they are in the nation.
You may remember that Prince Harry, the Duke of Duchess, established the Invictus Games, an international multisport competition that provides a rehabilitation route for sick, injured, and wounded service members worldwide.
Additionally, it helps troops get notice and appreciation in society, which aids in their recovery process.
There were roughly 500 competitors at the most recent Invictus Games, representing 21 countries. Nigeria, which won gold and silver at the competition’s inaugural event last year, was among the participants.
The purpose of the tour is to strengthen Nigeria’s dominance in the sport and the country’s potential to host the event in the future.
The Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru who was at Germany at last year’s event, has accepted to host the games when granted to Nigeria.
