On Tuesday, Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain attacker, equaled the Champions League goal record of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
He accomplished this milestone by scoring a goal during PSG’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Recall that PSG secured a victory against Dortmund in France with goals from both Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi. Mbappe’s goal against the Bundesliga giants marked his 35th goal for PSG in the Champions League.
Nevertheless, he remains significantly behind the impressive tally of 78 goals achieved by former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema during his time with Los Blancos.
Adding to the intrigue, Mbappe’s contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of this season, and there have been persistent rumours connecting him with a potential transfer to Real Madrid.
