Students and staff at the College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences in Zamfara state, who were abducted by bandits, have been identified.
Details from SaharaReporters , the students kidnapped are Isma’il Lawali, Salim Salisu, Kabiru Lawali, Yasir Lawali, Awaisu Jabir, Aminu Umar, Abba Aliyu, Aminu Adamu, Usman Umar and Umar Haruna.
Others include, Usama Lukman, Abdurahman Lukman, Junaidu Yunusa, Abdullahi Bala and Jamilu Kwatarkwashi.
The abducted staff members are Mustapha Abdullahi Mafara, Nusaiba Gambo, Hannatu Gambo and Hibbatu Gambo.
Gunmen invaded the institution in Bakura Local Government Area of the state on Sunday night. In the attack, three security officials and a police officer were killed, according to SaharaReporters.
During an interview on Monday, Alhaji Habibu Mainasara, the college’s provost, stated that the bandits contacted him and told him that they “needed N350 million for the 20 people currently in their custody.”
“They told me that they wouldn’t release my staff and students unless the money is paid,” he said.
