Godwin Emefiele was granted ₦300 million in bail by the FCT High Court on Wednesday.
Emefiele was also mandated by Judge Hamza Muazu to produce two sureties in the same amount.
Muazu mandated that the sureties possess titles to properties located in the Maitama District as well as certificates of occupancy.
Emefiele is required to stay inside the Abuja Municipal Council and to deposit all of his travel documents with the court registrar. It is anticipated that he will stay at Kuje Correctional Center until he satisfies the requirements of his bail.
It fixed November 28 to commence a full-blown hearing on the six-count charge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) preferred against the defendant.
This occurs four months after Emefiele was granted ₦20 million in bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
