Danny Manu: World’s First Auto-Translator Earbuds, Created by a Ghanaian-British Engineer

Danny Manu is a Ghanaian engineer and tech entrepreneur who built the world’s first auto-translator earbuds. He was born in the United Kingdom to Ghanaian parents.

Before establishing MyManu in 2014, he had worked at Quanta Networks Inc. and MEDYBIRD in addition to attending Oxford Brookes University. He has a background in music and art and was recognized by Google for his contributions to the fields of science, the arts, and culture.

Danny Manu’s Clicks headphones help people cross language barriers by translating over 40 languages in real time without an internet connection. It also allows them to call, text and read notifications from their devices.

Wireless Bluetooth earbuds can sync with smartphones, allowing them to learn the language being spoken and provide instant translations to the listener without being connected to the internet.

MyManu, the company that makes Click, accomplishes all of this through its unique operating system. The operating system also enables text-to-speech and speech-to-text functionality. Users could communicate with almost two billion people worldwide.

Thanks to Danny Manu for breaking barriers, his innovations have made communication across languages easier.
