The Tribunal ruled that Adegboyega Oyetola was the legitimate winner of the elections on July 16, 2022.

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has disagreed with the tribunal decision that resulted in his dismissal on Friday, January 27, 2023.
The governor said that he will appeal the decision, assuring his followers that there is no need for concern.
“Let our people be reassured that we will do everything possible to retain this widely acclaimed mandate,” the governor said in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
Adegboyega Oyetola was pronounced the legitimate winner of the July 16, 2022 elections by the Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which was based in Osogbo and had discovered “evidence” of overvoting.
Ademola Adeleke, the current governor, has been fired as a result of this decision, just a few weeks after taking office.
As a result of the ruling and the many responses to the news, there has been considerable discussion on social media.
