Seun Anikulapo Kuti has been released from prison and is traveling to Europe for a tour.
The famed Afrobeat singer has resumed his summer tour, which had been halted due to his prosecution.
He stated earlier today, May 25, 2023, that he is leaving for Zurich, Switzerland, where his show will commence tonight.
“Euro tour kicks off tonight in Zurich,” he wrote on his Instagram stories, along with a picture of himself in an airplane.
He first revealed details of his Europe tour last month, scheduled from May 20 to August 16, 2023, in the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and Slovenia.
His tour was momentarily halted when he was detained on May 15, 2023, for punching a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge.
Kuti was arrested the next day at the state criminal investigation Department (SCID) and held for six days.

He was later freed after satisfying the terms of his bail. His lawsuit has been postponed until July 3, 2023, giving him enough time to complete his ongoing tour.
