Nigerian singer Habeeb Olawunmi, also known as Portable, recently acquired a new car following a harrowing incident in July 2023 when he narrowly survived a life-threatening accident in his G Wagon.
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the artist, in an Instagram post, proudly showcased his latest addition to his car collection, a BMW X3. In the photos, he confidently posed shirtless beside his new vehicle, proudly displaying the car keys as a symbol of his latest acquisition.
In his caption, he humbly expressed gratitude to God, saying, “Zazuu Am Nothing Without God. O De Le Lo Far Without God” His Instagram post garnered an array of reactions, with many sending congratulatory messages and words of encouragement. However, a few individuals teased the singer for choosing an older model of the car.
Portable’s new car purchase follows a harrowing incident on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, when he was involved in a terrifying accident in his luxury vehicle. The accident occurred as he was en route to his music studio during a heavy downpour in the Osapa London area of Lekki, according to the singer.
After the accident, Portable shared images of his damaged car on his Instagram account and conducted a live stream shortly after to reassure his concerned fans of his safety.
During the live stream, he made a promise to his supporters, emphasising that he had come out of the incident unharmed. With unwavering confidence in his musical talents, he vowed to purchase a new vehicle soon, stating, “Hustle wey buy me that one go buy another one. You can’t ruin my life; I buy moto, dem use mouth spoil am. The car didn’t kill me.”
In addition to his determination to acquire another car, the controversial artist also declared his intent to buy a house and even a private jet in the near future.
