Selena Gomez to feature on the remix of Rema’s popular song “Calm Down,”
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Rema’s song “Calm Down” shot to 100 million views on YouTube in less than three months after it was published, making it an immediate smash. The track, which was made available as one of the songs before his first “Raves & Roses” album, has turned out to be the most popular hit off the record.
Rema has enlisted the help of American pop sensation Selena Gomez for the remix of his smash song in his quest for global recognition.
News of a potential collaboration spread after images of the two appeared on social media, and Selena Gomez ultimately confirmed it by posting a preview of a remix of “Calm Down” on her Twitter account.
On Friday, August 26, 2022, the remix is scheduled for release. Fans may anticipate Selena adding some American/Latin Pop to the mix in an effort to give the song more American exposure and potentially land Rema a spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
