Odumodublvck and Shallipopi, two of Nigeria’s hottest artists, are about to go on an unprecedented joint Afrobeats tour.
The rappers, cashing in on their superstar status, will be performing together on a joint tour that begins on April 27 at Minneapolis’s Uptown Theater and will travel to nine different American cities. Before concluding in Dallas at the House of Blues on May 27, the duo will make stops in Houston, Dallas, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and more.
The tour put together by Live Nation in partnership with the labels of both artists marks an unprecedented feat in Nigerian music.
Odumodublvck has been spearheading the commercial revival of Nigerian hip-hop ever since he entered the mainstream. Street hop in Nigeria has gained vibrancy and diversity from Shallipopi’s music, which draws inspiration from his Bini heritage.
‘Cast’ from Shallipopi’s debut album ‘Presido La Pluto’ was a collaborative effort between the two artists in 2023. Even though social media users had differing opinions about Odumodublvck’s verse, the single managed to reach the TurnTable Top 100.
Both artists are poised to make history by captivating audiences with their thrilling music, and their upcoming joint tour represents another high point in their careers.
