Khloe Kardashian has detailed her recovery journey after discovering that the little bump on her cheek was a small, cancerous tumour in 2022.
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the reality star shared her experience through photographs on her Instagram account, confirming that she had the tumour removed. She commended her doctor for doing an excellent job of decreasing the scarring on her face.
She wrote, “For those who don’t know I had a skin cancer scare on my face, my angel @garthmd is who I trusted with removing the tumour. Doctor Fischer is out of this world fabulous. Not only did he remove the tumour and make sure that I’m completely cancer-free, but he did such a stellar job of making my scar as small and beautiful as possible.”
Khloe also said that the excision of the tumour left her face with an indentation, giving her a slightly disfigured appearance. Her doctor’s approval allowed her to begin filling the indentation, and she uploaded before and after photos to demonstrate her progress.
In addition to thanking her medical professionals, the celebrity took the opportunity to urge her fans to pay attention to their bodies and get regular checks.
She wrote in another post, “I never imagined that this tiny speck would turn into skin cancer and I can’t fathom what could have possibly happened had I not gone to the doctor to get it looked at paying attention to our skin and any changes in our skin and body no matter how small is so important.”
This comes after fans observed that Khloe was constantly wearing bandaids on her cheek in October 2022 after which she opened up about the bump on her face for the first time.
