Since leaving the Ikoyi jail, Nigerian musician Ice Prince hasn’t said anything about his arrest.

The musician was imprisoned for allegedly making assault threats against a police officer.

The rapper acknowledged the value of freedom in a tweet sent on September 15, 2022, via his Twitter account.

“Freedom is priceless,” he tweeted.

Earlier in September, Ice Prince was detained on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, said in a statement that the musician kidnapped and threatened to throw one officer into the river after he was pulled over for driving without a license.

“At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today,” he tweeted.

After being charged, the musician was detained in custody at the Ikoyi Prison until his bail requirements were satisfied.

After fulfilling his bond conditions, he was eventually freed.
