Wizkid, Tekno, and 1da Banton are among the featured artists in the third season of the famous TV show “Ted Lasso.”
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Artists from across the world, including American megastar Beyoncé, rapper Ice Cube, and the legendary Bob Dylan, join the Nigerian talents.
The 50-track soundtrack features Wizkid’s “Essence,” Tekno’s “Enjoy,” and 1da Banton’s “No Wahala.”
Ifé, a Nigerian singer, also appears on the soundtrack with her song ‘Ozo,’ which features Umu Obiligbo.
The presence of the Nigerian contingent is not unrelated to the fact that one of the series’ primary characters is Nigerian.
Ted Lasso, an Apple TV comedy starring Jason Sudeikis as the charming and well-meaning Coach Lasso as he seeks to bring honor to imaginary Premiership team AFC Richmond, has gotten overwhelmingly excellent reviews from both fans and reviewers.
On March 15, 2023, the first trailer for the third season was released.
