Omoni Oboli would be directing the sequel.

The second sequel to the Omoni Oboli-produced dramedy ‘Wives on Strike’ is now in production.
The sequel, dubbed ‘Wives on Strike The Uprising,’ will be directed by Oboli and will star the film’s original cast members, including Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jombo, Ufuoma McDermott, and Oboli. Hilda Dokubo, a veteran actress, and comedian Bukunmi ‘Kie Kie’ Adeaga will also join the cast.
Filming began early this month, according to the filmmaker’s post, with Nodash Adejuyigbe as Director of Photography.
The original film, which premiered in 2016, depicts a group of women who deny their husbands intimacy in order to push them to stand up for a young girl who is coerced into early marriage. The next year, a sequel was released.
