The Minister of the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, with immediate effect, has sacked some heads of parastatals, agencies, and government companies of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA.
This information was disclosed in a statement made accessible to journalists in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, and signed by Mr. Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press, from the Minister’s office.
Those affected are; Group MD/CEO, Abuja investment Company Ltd, CEO/MD, Abuja Markets Management Ltd, MD/CEO, Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company; CEO/MD, Abuja Property Development Company, CEO/MD Abuja Technology Village Free Trade Zone Company and CEO/MD Abuja Film Village International.
Others are; CEO/MD Powernoth AICL Equipment Leasing Company Ltd, MD Abuja Broadcasting Corporation, MD, Abuja Enterprise Agency, and GM, FCT Water Board.
Also affected are; DG, FCT Emergency Management Agency, Executive Secretary, FCT Primary Healthcare Board, Director General, Hospital Management Board, Director, Abuja Environmental Protection Board, Director, FCT Scholarship Board, Director FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Director, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Also the Coordinator, Abuja Infrastructure Investment Center, Director, FCT Health Insurance Scheme, Coordinator, Satellite Towns Development Department, Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council were sacked.
The affected individuals were encouraged to turn over the management of their offices to the officers with the highest rank.
According to the announcement, appointments to the positions would be made as soon as possible.
