Former Minister of Labor and Productivity, Festus Keyamo (SAN) of Delta State has been listed in President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominee list.
Keyamo was announced on Friday during an ongoing ministerial screening on the Senate floor by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Majority Leader.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has withdrawn Dr Maryam Shetty from Kano State as the ministerial candidate to be considered today.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the development on Friday, August 4, 2023, during the Senate’s plenary session.
In a letter addressed to the Senate, and read by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, the President substituted Mairiga Mahmoud for Dr. Maryam Shetty.
Recalling that President Tinubu had passed on Shetty’s name on Wednesday along with eighteen other nominees, like Keyamo; the number of ministerial nominees, has now increased to forty-eight.
