Skales releases a new song ‘Konibaje’ featuring Rotimi.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Skales, one of Nigeria’s most well-known Afrobeats singers, is poised to release his new track ‘Konibaje Remix’ featuring Rotimi, a Nigerian-American actor, and singer.
Skales’ song, ‘Konibaje,’ had over 1 million streams in Africa and over 4 million plays in the Middle East, and the remix is likely to create ripples globally. Rotimi, well known for his role in the famous TV drama ‘Power,’ contributes electric pop vocals to the new version.
Skales’ re-introduction into the US market with ‘Konibaje Remix’ is expected to appeal to diaspora Africans worldwide. The song combines West and South African rhythms, demonstrating Skales and Rotimi’s flexibility as they merge their distinct styles smoothly.
Jaypizzle, recognized for his work with major Afrobeats musicians, produced the tune with a catchy melody, compelling lyrics, and enticing beats that will have fans moving.
On May 24th, the song was made available on all digital platforms. With its captivating sound, ‘Konibaje Remix’ will surely be a hit.
