The latest police procedural and criminal drama series “Crime and Justice Lagos” is set to be available on Showmax.

The program examines the operations of the fictitious Serious and Special Crimes Unit against the backdrop of the largest and most populous metropolis in Africa (SSCU).

The Unit is made up of an exclusive group of top detectives under the direction of Superintendents Kelechi “KC” Farasin (Folu Storms) and Superintendent Danladi Dikko. It is headed by its flamboyant boss, Deputy Commissioner of Police Femi Biboye (William Benson) (Jammal Ibrahim).

With Yinka Edward serving as executive producer, the series also stars Nollywood stalwarts Uche Mac-Auley, Paul Adams, and Femi Durojaiye, as well as up-and-coming actors Margaret Osuome, Ejirooghene “Jyro” Asagba, and Makinde Adeniran.

Crime and Justice Lagos is unlike any other Nigerian Original we have put out, according to Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria, who is describing the new program. Through the eyes of law enforcement officers entrusted with keeping the city’s residents safe, we’ve developed a crime series that captures the pulse of the city, from its glamorous clubs to its dirty ghettos. Every episode is based on true crime stories that will resonate with viewers and provide them with a lot to think about.

Since beginning physical operations in Nigeria this year, Showmax has released three Nigerian Original programs. The first two are “Flawsome,” which was just released and is centered on the lives and emotions of four women living in Lagos, and “Diche,” a six-part psychological thriller with elements of the contemporary, mythical, and enigmatic.

The Real Housewives of Lagos, a Nigerian installment of The Real Housewives franchise, and the documentary series “Journey of the Beats” are among the other Showmax Nigerian Originals that are now available.

On December 8, 2022, a new series called Crime and Justice Lagos will debut. For six weeks, Showmax will publish brand-new episodes every Thursday.
