Odumodu Blvck is one of the musicians adding much-needed excitement and intricacies to the Nigerian Hip Hop industry with his combination of Hip Hop and Highlife.
He worked with Street Pop superstar Bella Shmurda and Alternative music icon Cruel Santino on his new tune, “Dog Eat Dog,” released on May 30.
The record arrived at the top of Apple Music Nigeria’s Alternative Chart only hours after its release.
‘Dog Eat Dog II’ follows his blockbuster tune ‘Declan Rice,’ which has gathered over 20 million streams and is his highest charting song to date with a Top 10 entry on TurnTable Top 100.
A smokey, frenetic summertime refix of the original 2022 song and is a kind of Hip-Hop that incorporates inspirations from Grime, Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat, and Progressive R&B, this music core inspires his profound, meaningful poetry that has earned critical acclaim.
