According to an exclusive Deadline source, the Netflix series Locke & Key will be ending after its upcoming third season. The series’ conclusion, however, is not premature, according to the source, as the horror series was always planned to have a three-season arc. As a result, the third season was created with the goal of bringing the plot to a solid conclusion.
The last season is now in post-production and will be available on Netflix later this year. Eight episodes make up the third season. Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodrguez created the horror graphic novel series Locke & Key. Hill is the son of horror legend Stephen King, but he has made a name for himself as a horror author, with several of his works adapted for television and cinema.
Locke & Key is a supernaturally tinged coming-of-age story. The Locke siblings are followed as they try to come to terms with their father’s inexplicable death. The Locke siblings and their mother relocate into the eerie Keyhouse after their father’s death. The siblings discover magical keys as they explore the home, which have the capacity to expose secrets about their father’s murder but also carry sinister abilities that make keyholders targets of violence.
Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Brendan Hines, Sherri Saum, Kevin Durand, and Coby Bird feature in the third season of the show. Viewers will have to wait a bit longer to find out how the Locke family tale ends, since no official release date for the final season has been determined. Until then, you can catch up on the Locke family drama by watching the first two seasons of the Netflix original series.
